STEPHANIE MORA
(Las Vegas Magazine – December 2007)
By Jack Houston
The word vixen is derived from the Middle English word for a female fox – and there’s no better point of comparison for Stephanie Mora, the roaming tequila vixen at The Light Groups’s Stripside Mexican party palace, Diablo’s Cantina.
The native of Corpus Christi, Texas, had never been to Vegas when she packed her car a year and a half ago and began driving west. When she heard Diablo’s was hiring, she jumped at the chance.
“I was so excited when I heard about this new property opening up and knew it was going to be fabulous and I had to be a part of it,’ she said. “There was no question about that.”
Good enough, but what exactly does a roaming tequila vixen do?
“It is my job to make sure everyone at Diablo’s has a wonderful time. Basically, I get shots out for people and dance on occasion and pretty much keep the party going.”
The restaurant’s spring-break vibe is in Mora’s capable hands, and she does her part to bring the south-of-the-border rowdiness to Diablo’s every night.
“It’s such a unique atmosphere, and there’s people of all ages, people from all over, and everyone is here to have a good time,” she said. “I love feeding off the crowd and their energy. And I’m from South Texas, so I know my tequila!”
