Akira Back to Cook at James Beard House in New York City

Akira Back, executive chef of Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant & Bar at the Bellagio, will be headed to New York to cook a dinner at the esteemed James Beard House on Monday, December 1st. Akira's Modern Japanese Omakase sold out in record time whetting the appetite for New Yorker's excited for the opportunity to sample this "rising star chef's" cuisine. Back will present some of his signature masterpieces including his big-eye tuna pizza, tai snapper carpaccio and butter poached washugyu all complemented by the finest sakes.
The James Beard House hosts frequent dinners featuring selected acclaimed chefs working the Beard kitchen in the company of Foundation members and industry professionals. Notable past chefs have included Michael Mina, Daniel Boulud, Emeril Lagasse, Nobu Matsuhisa, Jacques Pépin, and Charlie Trotter.
