  • We Should Meat at BRAND

  • brand-steakhouse-las-vegas we should meat at brandSo this weekend Light Group's newest restaurant, BRAND Steakhouse, opened to the public. Now don't get me wrong I love STACK and FIX, but my love for a good steakhouse tips the scale a little and I feel that BRAND may be Light Group's best venue yet. Its ambiance presents a really comfortable vibe and it doesn't make you feel that you need to be in a suit to eat there - but you definitely won't feel out of place if you do.

Well because of my position at Light Group I was able to sample BRAND's menu last week prior to their grand opening (nice perk huh?). All I can say is WOW! In my entire life I've never seen (let alone had) a 40-ounce steak - but my wife and I wanted to get the full BRAND experience so we tried to tackle this mammoth steak (plus the lobster mashed potatoes and forest mushroom ragout). The meat was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was served with BRAND's homemade steak sauces. It was amazing! The crazy thing is despite my awe over the 40-ounce steak, BRAND also has an 80-ounce steak for four and a 120-ounce steak for six - which I promised my wife we'd get the next time her family comes to town. In addition to the steak and sides we also had the Brand Salad, which is one of my favorite appetizers on the menu. Comprised of crisp green beans, tomatoes, bacon and shrimp then tossed in a red wine vinaigrette this salad is one of the best I've ever had at any restaurant - and I'm normally not a huge salad fan.

Now I know that this sounds way too much like a shameless plug for our company's new restaurant (which is partially true), but I want to address that I am a true foodie and LOVE eating and trying new restaurants. Las Vegas' culinary evolution is one of the main reasons I moved here and one of the many reasons that I love this town. That being said, BRAND is a restaurant that I would definitely recommend to anyone. In fact, I brought some friends there over the weekend and they loved it - the fact I picked up the check probably didn't hurt though.

Well that's all for today, I'm salivating from all this talk for food and now I want lunch.

    Till next time!
